About this workshop

We’ll cover:

  • How to develop, design, and teach effective creative workshops, with your participants in mind
  • Teaching diverse learning groups in different environments: supporting learning needs effectively
  • Modifying, merging, or developing content for online teaching
  • Tools and techniques for effective teaching, both in person and online
  • Teaching safely in a Covid-19 world: the nitty gritty of risk assessments, insurance and health and safety
  • Working with venues and other spaces to deliver content
  • Monetising and promoting your workshops
  • Getting and acting on feedback about your workshops

The module structure includes:

  • Two 2-hour online workshops (July and August)
  • 1 3-hour in person workshop (September/October)
  • An all-day ‘test and feedback’ event with the public (November) to help promote and test new workshop ideas.

Additional Information

Eligible participants will also be provided with £100 in support to secure materials for workshop development activities during the ‘test and feedback’ event.

There is space for up to ten participants. You must be a registered sole trader, small to medium business, or creative practitioner working in County Durham to participate.
