About this workshop

While many businesses and professionals are being told of the benefits of going digital, what this actually means in practice can be varied and confusing.

Join us in the interactive workshop where we will offer current insights into the advantages of utilising online social channels to reach your audience or promote your practice, and address some of the concerns or pitfalls when engaging in such an online digital environment. This session will explore how and when to use social media for your business, the techniques and skills needed to increase awareness and what to think of when creating content for your audience.

Whether you’re branching out into the world of social media and online communications, or are more familiar with the concepts but want extra guidance or direction to make the most out of your digital channels, join us as we offer practical insight into the importance of having an online social presence while the rest of the world has become socially distant.

Who should attend?

These sessions are aimed at practitioners across the creative, cultural and digital sectors within County Durham who are wanting to learn practical advice about how digital and social communications can be used to target new or existing audiences.

This event is hosted by the Creative Fuse NE project team at Durham University. If you are located outside of the County and unable to find events like this, we may be able to accept a small number of SMEs into this session. So please do sign up and we will be in touch to discuss your eligibility.

About this session

This session will be hosted via Zoom by Durham University’s Creative Fuse NE team. Registered participants will be sent logging in details and instructions a day or two before the event. Participants are encouraged to install the Zoom app on their phone, tablet, and/or laptop.
