On 28th April 2022 at 11.00am we will hold a discussion with artists, creatives and performers to introduce the Crafty Cyber Eyes initiative and explore the opportunity in more detail.
This is a call for creators and makers from multiple disciplines to join our Cyber Eyes Initiative.
Are you an artist, creator, maker, performer, film maker, photographer or writer?
We are looking to support creative practitioners through a developmental programme where they are invited to respond to themes of cyber-security whilst gaining valuable experience of a collaborative commissioning process, particularly in what we hope will be a new market for them. Although sessions may take place over the course of several months, it is not intended to be a full-time position, and the creatives who participate will set their own working pattern depending on how they wish to interpret the brief.
Creative practitioners will work with participants from cybersecurity companies on the conjunction of art, technical expertise and creativity to explore perspectives, visions and understanding of cybersecurity. The aim of the intervention is to leave participating cybersecurity businesses with a new creative way to represent their business and values.
The intervention will span a period over summer 2022. We will begin with a workshop on 14th April 2022, starting the creative process and forming working teams to develop exciting ways to innovative, visualise, perform and represent cybersecurity. Through regular meetings with the Creative Fuse team, concepts from the workshop will be collaboratively developed culminating in two exhibitions in September 2022 at #cyberfest2022 and at the Creative Fuse North East Conference.
This development programme will offer a £1500 grant to the artist with expenses for materials not to exceed £500.
