About this event

This CAKE event will be shared via our respective screens and is perhaps apt given the choice of our first theme – how we can better use digital tools and content to engage with existing and indeed new audiences, an area rich in potential and hugely relevant in the current environment. Additionally, this CAKE will also celebrate the launch of the second Creative Fuse Tees Valley project as part of the wider Creative Fuse North East collaboration.

Focusing on the inspiring world of the Immersive Web and Audience Engagement, from augmented and extended reality (AR/XR) experiences, and immersive 360° videos through to data visualisations, we will be joined by guest speakers from the region’s creative industries who will share their own experiences, practices and tips as we explore the many opportunities that the creative, digital and IT sectors can utilise to engage their audiences and customers. You will also be able to find out more about what’s on the horizon from Creative Fuse North East.

During the event, attendees will have the chance to join break out rooms with liked-minded creatives to discuss potential ideas, challenges and collaboration opportunities.

There will also be more information provided around the different areas of support that will be available through the Creative Fuse project specifically for creative, cultural and digital SMEs in the Tees Valley region.

About CAKE

CAKE (Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange) is Creative Fuse North East’s monthly networking event, bringing together businesses, freelancers, academics, charities and creative practitioners from across the Creative, Digital and IT sectors and wider economy. Each themed CAKE event has expert speakers delivering short presentations that explore opportunities and innovation challenges. The events generate debate, explorative discussion and stimulate new innovative ideas by looking at each event’s theme from a variety of different perspectives – in keeping with the event name, attendees enjoy a slice of delicious cake while they network.*

“Not only was the event interesting and enjoyable but, for my company, it was an opportunity to make new connections. It has created new opportunities for Living Archive Limited, at a time in the company’s development where such opportunities are crucial for survival… The CAKE event was a chance to step back for a moment and focus on the bigger picture, and this has been very valuable to me.”
