Suzy O’Hara

Dr Suzy O’Hara is a digital art curator and researcher based at the University of Sunderland. Through her role in Creative Fuse North East, Suzy seeks to understand evolving relationships between the arts and creative digital technologies, develop new commissioning strategies between commercial and non-commercial sectors through sector and broker new collaborative contexts for the production of art and creative innovation.

Recent projects include: the Creative Hack for Digital Make Believers; Little Inventors, making children’s ideas reality by bringing together artists, designers, and commercial businesses; Sunderland 10 x 10, a project that nurtures the development of contemporary arts and creative innovation in collaboration with businesses; and ‘Rewriting the Hack’, the North East’s first Women Only Hackathon.

Suzy is also founder and curator of Thinking Digital Arts, in collaboration with Thinking Digital Conference.
