As Director of UK Corporate Affairs for Ubisoft, I am primarily focused on ensuring the optimal environment for games development to flourish in the UK, as well as looking for opportunities for Ubisoft’s businesses in the UK.
Passionate about the join-up between education and industry, I chair the Games Council at Creative Skillset, looking at how match-funding can enable our talent pipeline, am on the Employers Steering Group of Next Gen Skills Academy developing trailblazing apprenticeships and lead the skills agenda for DynamoNE. I am also delighted to be a Trustee of Northern Futures, a University Technical College due to open in 2017, dedicated to the ‘creative, digital and IT'(CDIT) and health sciences sectors.
Ensuring access routes for highly-skilled migrants to the industry is high on my agenda, working with the Migration Advisory Committee to ensure they understand the growth challenges and evolving talent requirements for our sector.
I am a Director of TIGA, the games developer’s trade association and Vice-Chair of Dynamo NE.
I originally joined Reflections as General Manager in 1996 with a mandate to grow and re-structure the company and have managed it from an independent studio through the transitions of becoming publisher-owned and integrated, 3 times, via GT Interative, Infogrames/Atrai and in 2006, Ubisoft.
