We’ve Won An Award!

24 May 2022

We are delighted to have won the Vice-Chancellor and President Award at this year's Newcastle University Engagement and Place Awards!

The #EngageAwardsNCL, hosted on Friday 20th May at The Common Room of the North, recognised and celebrated great examples of collaboration between the University and partners and publics. This year’s awards included: Postgraduate Award, Professional Services Award, Early Career Academic Award, Established Career Academic Award, Team Award, and the Vice Chancellor and President Award.

We are so proud to have won the Vice-Chancellor and President Award and would like to say a big THANK YOU to all CFNE team members’ (past and present), academics’ and partners’ ideas, creativity and hard work since our first phase to now – it has been wonderful to engage with so many brilliant people! The project is a testament to the power of the combined strengths, assets and networks of our five North East universities collaborating to support the region’s creative, cultural and digital businesses and freelancers.

Huge well done to all #EngageAwardsNCL winners and nominees!

“We are absolutely thrilled to have won the Vice-Chancellor and President Award at this year’s Engagement and Place Awards. We’re particularly honoured given the very high standard of entries this year that reflect a wide range of excellence and impact. The win, and the project’s success, is based on two things: firstly, we are very proud to collaborate and work together as five university partners to bring together our combined expertise to help a growing and hugely important regional sector; and secondly, we are privileged to work with a broad range of wonderful and passionate creative businesses and practitioners here in the North East, and to help creativity and creative-led innovation go further to make our region even more special and successful”.
