Make In Durham Creates New Workshops

18 November 2021

Experienced professionals have been developing new arts and crafts workshops as part of Creative Fuse NE’s ‘Teach Your Art’ programme.

The Durham Creative Fuse team led a fantastic afternoon at Durham Town Hall on Sunday 7th November, where members of the public could have a go at a variety of creative workshops – all piloted by talented, creative practitioners from across the County who had been part of Creative Fuse NE’s ‘Teach Your Art’ programme, which took place as part of the Summer in the City Festival.

Attendees had the opportunity to take part in a variety of different workshops, including: stencil poetry writing; screen printing; japanese collage (chigiri-e); copper wire wrapping; applique sewing (upcycling); leatherworking; painting and embroidery.

With special thanks to our creative practitioners for their dedication and delivery on the day:
Noriko Matsubara, Helga Put, Ian Horn, Wendy Elsdon, Alex Carter, Mel Bacon, Tracy A Franklin, Roz Gadd, Zoe Ballard
