The CFNE Survey
Creative Fuse North East provides an exciting opportunity to bring together universities and Creative, Digital and IT businesses – sharing our resources, supporting the industry and championing our unique skills.
The research phase will help identify common features, opportunities, and challenges within the region’s CDIT sector.
The Creative Fuse Survey is a major part of the research phase.
We sought to address how North East businesses and freelancers in the CDIT sector innovate, what barriers can affect growth, and what changes they would like to see.
The more comprehensive the research, the more we will be able to achieve by working with North East businesses and freelancers
Jason Legget, Project Director
The survey closed on the 24th April 2017 with over 500 responses from businesses and freelancers across the region. To date, it is the largest and most extensive exercise of its kind in the North East.
The first insights from the survey are available in the Creative Fuse North East Initial Report, published June 2017.
The project is supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, with keen interest from Government. This means that there is a real chance for the North East CDIT sector to be recognised at a National and International level, and for recommendations to affect future policy.
