Innovation Funding

Creative Fuse North East is looking to fund a series of Innovation projects, bringing together expertise from across businesses within the Creative, Digital and IT sector and the region’s universities. These projects will aim to tackle specific industry challenges, opportunities or barriers to growth.

This exciting opportunity is open to SMEs (including freelancers), larger organisations, and academic researchers, with two funding strands available:

  • Innovation Pilot Grants (awards up to £5,000)
  • Innovation Development Awards (small number of grants up to £25,000).

Funding can be used for your time and any ancillary costs relating to development work, prototyping, demonstrators, or events and workshops. Academic staff time has already been included in the overall Creative Fuse budget, or will be contributed in kind, and so will not form an eligible component in any Innovation Fund budgets.

Applications are open now, until Monday 16th October at 12 noon. Scroll down for an application form. For more information, suggested themes, and  full eligibility criteria, please see our complete Innovation Fund Call Details.
